Everyone likes to make the days of Ramadan more joyous and eat delicious things. Iftar is not just a time for filling the stomach, it is also a time to connect with family and community. During such times we look for something new to make and serve. One such recipe is Schezwan Cheese toast which is very quick, easy and tasty.
Schezwan Cheese Toast тАУ a delicious Indo-Chinese fusion snack that is prepared in just 10-15 minutes. Spicy, cheesy, and with amazing street-style vibes, this toast makes every Iftar spread a little different and very tasty!

Ingredients
- 4 bread slices
- 2 tbsp Schezwan chutney
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 green chilli тАУ finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
- Chaat masala
- Fresh coriander
Instructions
- Step 1: Lightly toast the bread slices and place on a tawa or toaster тАУ so that it doesn’t get soggy below the cheese.
- Step 2: Apply a layer of Schezwan chutney on each bread slice. If you like it more spicy then add some more dal!
- Step 3: Now add finely chopped onion, capsicum, green chilli on top. Then lots of cheese on top! Sprinkle chaat masala for that desi zing.
- Step 4: Now add some butter on the tawa, and toast the bread slices covered (use a lid) on low flame тАУ till the cheese melts and the bottom becomes crispy.
- Step 5: Serve hot
Remove, add some coriander dal and serve hot. Ketchup or extra schezwan chutney will also work on the sides.
