  • 2 tablespoons corn flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 small boiled potato, mashed
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (for a crispy outer layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala

Instructions :

  • Combine the grated paneer and mozzarella cheese in a bowl. If you’re using a different cheese, ensure it’s grated so that it melts easily.
  • Now, add the mashed potato, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix everything well to form a dough-like consistency.
  • Add the chopped fresh coriander for freshness and flavor. If the mixture feels too soft, add a little more cornflour to help bind it together.
  • Once the mixture is well-combined, shape it into small, bite-sized balls.
  • Roll each of the formed cheese balls in bread crumbs until they are evenly coated. For an extra punch of flavor, you can sprinkle a little chat masala on top of the bread crumbs.
  • If you want a healthier alternative, you can air fry these cheese balls. Otherwise, they are ready to be fried.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Carefully drop the cheese balls into the hot oil, a few at a time, ensuring they don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry the cheese balls until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. This usually takes about 4-5 minutes. Make sure to flip them occasionally to ensure they cook evenly.
  • Once fried, remove the cheese balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
